Calendar View Overview

A Calendar View is a special type of Dashboard, which can display records from multiple Components in a single interface. The interface consists of:

  • Calendar, and a
  • List View which corresponds to the Calendar

Through the application of rules and filters, it is possible to define

  • how many months should be shown in a Calendar
  • which Components are to be shown on a Calendar and, for each of the included Components:
    • define a filter which determines which records are to be shown (e.g. show all open Actions for the current user)
    • define filter to determine which color should be used to highlight the individual records (e.g. mark all open Actions of high priority in red)
  • a maximum number of records to be shown in the List View (the default limit is 1,000 records)

When accessing a Calendar View, users will be able to further limit the number of records included in a Calendar View by filtering Components or Colors from the List View, by limiting the records by highlighting a range of days in the displayed calendar, and/or by searching for records.

Users are also able to search for records in the List View, and access the detail records directly from the List View.
