Delete a Matrix

To delete a Matrix

WARNING: You should not delete a Matrix that is currently referenced as a field. In such cases you should do the following first:

• Remove the field that references the Matrix from any reports/graphs, list views, XML filters and forms.
• Remove the field from the component.

Deleting a Matrix should always be tested first in a Development/Test environment before attempting in a Production system.

1. In the Web Application, select Designer Field Types Matrix from the menu.
2. Locate the Matrix you want to delete, and open it..
3. Tick the "Mark for deletion (Will be deleted on next publish)" checkbox.
4. Click Save to save the changes.
   The Matrix will be deleted when the next Publish is run.

If the matrix has not been removed from all areas it was used the system may become unusable.
