About the Size of the Data Warehouse Database

A commonly asked question is:

  • How big is the Data Warehouse Database in relation to the SAI360 Database?

Unfortunately, there is no single answer to this, because the size of the Data Warehouse will be determined by a range of factors, with the two most obvious being:

  • How many, and which Components are included in the Data Warehouse.
  • The number of records in each of the Components.

But a further factor has an equally big influence: the Structure of the selected Components:

  • The type of relationships between the reportable Components.
  • The amount of multi-select lookups and relationships used.

For these reasons, you will find that the size-ratio between the SAI360 Database and the Data Warehouse will vary widely between different configurations - there is no fixed value which can be applied.
