Suggestion Assistant in Roam

The Suggestion Assistant is available from Roam 6.2+ and v2025.2+

The Suggestion Assistant in Roam functions identically to the Web Application. No additional setup is required - if a form is configured with the Suggestion Assistant in the Web Application, it will automatically be available in Roam.

The icon and accent color used in Roam will match those defined in the Web Application Global Settings.

If the Suggestion Assistant uses a RAG dataset, any referenced records will open in a separate page. Users can return to the main record using the back arrow.

The assistant adheres to the same rules, logic, and permissions as the Web Application. For example, when a new record is created it must be saved before suggestions are shown, the record must be uploaded from Roam using the Upload icon.
