Global Settings

note_awesome

Only Administrators with the correct Policy will be able to maintain Global Settings.

Types of Global Settings

The System has two types of Global Settings:

  • Settings which are stored within the database itself. These settings will be applied to all copies of any database. For example, when you copy a database from a development environment to a production system, these settings will be the same in both databases.
  • Some settings need to be specific for each installation. For example the email server which is used during the development stage often is different from the production server. These settings are stored in a separate configuration file - outside of the database.
