Fine Tuning the Layout of Email Reminders
Grouping of Reminder Lists
You have the option to create Reminder Groups, and add one or several Lists to these groups.
The purpose of those groups can be varied, such as
- of a particular Module together (for example "Incidents").
- of overdue items (for instance "My overdue open Actions", "My overdue Audits").
- list concerning my team/subordinates.
- ...
To set up Groups
- Navigate to Designer Forms and Views Reminder List Groups
- Create or Edit a Group
- Apply a Group Name (keep in mind that the Name will be used for sorting within the Reminder Email)
- Select the Reminder Lists which will be part of that Group
- Apply the sort order of those Lists within the Group.
- Save your changes, and perform a publish.
Sorting of Groups and Lists within an Reminder Email
The Lists and Groups with a Reminder Email are being sorted alphabetically, by the name of the List and/or Group. This will be also the case if the Reminder Email contains a mix of Groups, and Lists which are not part of any Group.
The sort order within a Group however can be user defined (see above).
Design of the Email
The layout and design of the Email is based on a HTML file, which can be found here:
- Admin HTML Library HTML Source Reminders Email
Changes to the Source will be available immediately after saving - a publish is not necessary. You can preview any formatting changes you made by clicking an the Preview button.

Warning
Please be aware that by applying incorrect settings, the Reminder Email can break, as the system does not perform any validations.
Therefore it is prudent to create a copy of the original content of the HTML Source before making any changes.
