The Language Files, and the Translation Process

Content of the Language File

The Language File will be exported in Excel (XLS) format, and downloaded to your browser.

The structure of the file will be as follows:

  • Key: unique identifier needed when re-importing the files.
    exclamation_mark_xtra_small The value in this column must not be changed.
  • Source Language: the text to translate FROM
  • Translated Language: will either be blank, or contain the translated TO text (if the language has already been translated)

For example, for an untranslated database:

The Translation Process

To translate, simply add the translated text into the Column Translated Language.

Once the translation is complete, save the file and run the Import Process.
