Security Roles
SAI360’s Metrics Management module relies on pre-determined data structures, hence configuration is locked down on most areas including security.
The module comes pre-configured with security roles to cater for business and advanced users. Users must inherit at least one of the below roles to be able to access Metrics Management module
- Policy Role - Sustainability - Basic
For General Users whose primary task is data entry, having this role will allow the user to access the Data Entry Portal to enter in data and view existing data.
- Policy Role - Sustainability - Advanced
For Advanced Users/Administrators, having this role will allow them to create and maintain Metrics/Metric Groups, Campaigns, Data Collection Metrics to initiate the Data Collection Process.
This role will also allow the user to maintain the Metrics Time Periods, close Time Periods once data collection is complete to ensure data integrity or re-open Time Periods to allow for modifications.
- Policy Role - Sustainability - Review
For Reviewers, this role will allow them to approve/reject data entries. This role must be given in addition to the Basic/Advanced policy role
- Policy Role - Sustainability Targets – Basic
For General Users, this role gives them basic read access to the Metrics Targets Form.
- Policy Role - Sustainability Targets – Advanced
For Advanced Users/Administrators, this role will allow them to setup & maintain Targets. This role will give them create, read, write and delete access to Targets and Target Values.
Note the following regarding security configuration -
- Cannot add/configure new security roles.
- Can define ‘Conditional’ Read at the component level for the above-mentioned roles, for instance, a user only view/enter in Metric Data where they have been assigned the Responsible Person.
- Cannot modify ‘Write’ security
- Cannot configure attribute level security on any of the fixed Metrics components. However if new fields are created, attribute level security can be configured on those fields.
