Metrics Administration
It is mandatory to review and complete the Administration sections – Forms under Metrics Administration Workspace Menu before users can start data entry as they define the basis for Metrics Calculations.
|
NOTE: Only users with security role "Policy Role - Sustainability- Advanced" have access to the Administration section of Metrics Management
|
The Metrics Administration sections are briefly described below:
- Campaign:
Campaigns are the central "hub" where admins can define what Metrics need to be collected, when it needs to be collected, for which location(s) and who is the responsible person for collecting the information. Campaigns can be setup with a combination of qualitative and quantitative metrics for a particular reporting period or initiative.
- Metrics:
Metrics determine what is to be reported, the type of input required and how frequently the system needs to collect data.
- Metric Group:
Similar Metrics can be grouped together in Metric Groups which will help with data entry, filtering and reporting.
- Time Periods:
Metrics Time Periods can be defined to match the required reporting periods and intervals. They can be of type Month, Quarter and Year.
Administration sections that are under the ‘general’ Administration Workspace menu and relate to the Metrics Management Module:
- Locations:
Locations is a core' module usually available under the Administration workspace menu and possibly linked to various other processes offered within SAI360.
For Metrics Management, Location is key for metrics data capture and Campaign Metrics.
|
NOTE: In the instance where Location does not already exist, a new geographical hierarchy can be created or a different, existing hierarchy can be linked as 'Location' (e.g. Department). However, this will be referred to as 'Location' throughout the module.
|
- Unit of Measure:
Repository of all Units of Measure used in data capture and Metrics reports.
- Unit of Measure Conversion:
Defines conversion factor from 1 unit to another. The Metrics Management Module uses this functionality to allow flexibility in data entry and consistency in reporting.
e.g. Metre to Centimetre -> Conversion Factor: 100
