Setting up "New Tasks" - and the use of Icons

In Roam, New Tasks are represented as tiles:

Adding processes for New Tasks to Roam

To define modules for which users can create new records in Roam, follow these steps:

  • In the Form Designer, define a Form to be a mobile Form
  • Run a publish, and restart Tomcat
  • On the Roam device, refresh forms

When no icon has been defined, then the system will display a "+" icon instead, along with the name of the underlying component.

NOTE:
Users will only see those Processes on Roam for which they have CREATE access.

Defining Icons for the tiles

To use icons for the tiles, the following is required:

  • Place the icon file into the following folder:
    ...\sai360\custom\icons
  • Supported file types are jpg, gif and png.
  • The name of the image file must be identical to name of the Component. Spaces need to be replaced by a _
    e.g. action.png, or incident.png or risk_register.png

NOTE:
please be aware that dashboard links also make use of these image files.
