Name
|
Data Field Name. This is a required field.
When naming fields, you must adhere to these rules:
- You cannot use any of these characters in a field name:
" \ * | ' & ( ) . ; : [ ]. - You also cannot use reserved names in SQL or ORACLE
- Duplicate data field names within the same component are not allowed.

If you want to delete an obsolete field, tick this box. The field will be removed with the next publish process.

Field Type
|
Select the data field type from the drop down list. Depending on the field type chosen, the details required will change. Refer to the Data Field Types and Properties Section.
The selection made here results in the display of more fields, as described in the Data Field Types and Properties list.
Note: A field type cannot be changed once you have selected it, so make sure you select the correct one, otherwise you'll have to delete the field and start again.

Exclude from BI Cubes
|
Tick this option when you want to exclude this field from the BI Cubes.
The field however will continue to be included for all other reports.

BI Name
|
Name of the field used in BI reporting.
Note: when the BI reporting is enabled for this component, this field will be auto-populated for new fields when the record is saved, using these rules:
- Name will be all lower case
- Blanks will be substituted with '_', for example to:
a_new_text_field

Expand Date Attribute in BI Reporting Views
|
Only available for Date fields:
To enable deeper Analysis of date fields - for example using tools like PowerBI - date fields which have this flag set will be represented in the DWH reporting views in multiple additional columns:
- Year (e.g.: 2020)
- Month abbreviated (e.g.: Aug)
- Month_Number (e.g.: 08)
- Day (e.g.: 6)
- Year/Month (e.g.: 2020-08)

Internal ID
|
The identifier number generated by the system for the component. Internally the system uses this number to identify this component and not the Name.
