Constants

Constants are static numbers which can be used in Formulas to calculate Emissions.

To enter Constants, navigate to ...Emissions Management Menu path separator Administration Menu path separator Constants.

The Constants used for Emissions Management are separate to the already existing "System Constants".

Definitions for Constants

Field

Explanation

Name

Name the Constant so that it's purpose can be easily identified.

Note: Name must be unique and can only contain characters [A-Z],[a-z] or an underscore.

Description (Optional)

Detailed information on the purpose of the Constant

The following Attributes are to be defined for each individual Location in the system

Location

The Location for which this Constant is applied

Start Date

Date when the Constant comes into effect

End Date (Optional)

Last date the Constant is valid

Value

Numerical value for this Constant

Unit (Optional)

Unit for this Constant

EXAMPLE:

Assume that for each WORKING_DAY a given amount of energy is used to climate control your building.

Since the working days may vary from Location to Location, you can create a constant, with the number of days worked defined for each operating country.
